Registration is open for the 18th annual Monahans Resolution Run, which will bring runners and walkers to Monahans Sandhills State Park on Jan. 9, 2027.
The annual event will feature a 5K run, 10K run and 1-mile health walk, according to the Monahans Chamber of Commerce.
Registration will begin at 7 a.m., with the 5K, 10K and health walk scheduled to start at 9 a.m.
Early registration costs $25 for adults and $15 for children ages 12 and younger. Race-day registration will be $30.
Participants will receive a long-sleeve event shirt featuring the 2027 race’s “Howling Hills” design.
The Resolution Run has become a New Year’s tradition in Monahans, giving participants an opportunity to start the year with a run or walk through the distinctive West Texas sand dunes at Monahans Sandhills State Park.
The Chamber of Commerce is also offering assistance with hotel reservations for people traveling to Monahans for the event. Additional information is available from the chamber at 432-943-2187.
