37th annual Cantaloupe Fly-In set for Saturday at Pecos Municipal Airport

Pilots, aviation enthusiasts and community members are invited to Pecos Municipal Airport on Saturday for the 37th annual Cantaloupe Fly-In, a longtime local tradition featuring airplanes, pancakes and Pecos cantaloupes.

The event is scheduled from 7 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 15, at the airport in Pecos.

Organizers say the fly-in is open to both aviators and the general public, with activities and attractions intended for visitors of all ages.

The annual gathering combines the region’s aviation community with one of Pecos’ best-known agricultural products. Attendees can enjoy hot pancakes and fresh cantaloupe while visiting with pilots and other participants at the airport.

The Cantaloupe Fly-In has been held for nearly four decades, with this year’s event marking its 37th year.

Crosby Flying Services is sponsoring the 2026 event.

Pecos Municipal Airport is located in Pecos in Reeves County.
