U.S. 90 shut down east of Sanderson after semi-truck crash

U.S. Highway 90 east of Sanderson was shut down Thursday evening following a crash involving a semi-truck, according to Terrell County Sheriff Thaddeus Cleveland.

No fatalities had been reported, Cleveland said.

Photos from the scene show a semi-truck overturned along the highway and emergency vehicles responding to the crash. Debris and what appears to be fluid from the wreck were visible on the roadway.

Cleveland urged motorists to avoid the area and allow emergency crews room to work. Drivers traveling through the area should expect delays until the wreck is cleared and the highway can safely reopen.

Authorities did not immediately provide an estimated reopening time or additional information about injuries or what caused the crash.
