Ojinaga to host first literary coffee gathering

Ojinaga residents are invited to take part in the community’s first “Café Literario,” an informal gathering centered on books, conversation and coffee.

The event will feature a discussion of “Este dolor no es mío,” the Spanish-language edition of Mark Wolynn’s book about inherited family trauma. Organizers said participants do not need to be experienced readers and may attend simply to listen, exchange ideas and spend time with other community members.

The gathering is being organized with the help of Rosa, a new Ojinaga resident who is opening her space to people interested in reading and discussion.

The event is scheduled from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at 305 Venustiano Carranza, across from Súper La Deportiva.

The announcement and promotional flyer list conflicting dates. The Facebook post says Wednesday, July 22, while the flyer says Wednesday, July 23. July 23 falls on a Thursday in 2026, so prospective attendees should confirm the correct date before going.

Attendance may be confirmed by calling 614-138-1883.
