The Pecos County Sheriff’s Office and Texas Rangers are investigating a death at a residence in Iraan, according to a news release issued Tuesday.
Authorities said investigators are working at a location in the 200 block of East Seventh Street as part of an active death investigation. Few details have been released about the case.
Sheriff T.J. Perkins said the investigation remains ongoing and that there is currently no threat to the public.
The sheriff’s office is conducting the investigation in conjunction with the Texas Rangers. Officials said additional information will be released as it becomes available and when doing so will not compromise the investigation.
Authorities thanked the public for its patience and cooperation while the investigation continues.
