Fort Davis Independent School District has released the official timeline for candidates seeking a place on the ballot in the Nov. 3, 2026, Board of Trustees election.
The candidate filing period opens July 20, with applications available through the Fort Davis ISD Central Administration Office. Prospective candidates must submit their applications by 5 p.m. on Aug. 17 to qualify for a place on the general election ballot.
Voter registration for the Nov. 3 election closes Oct. 5. Early voting is scheduled to begin Oct. 19 and conclude Oct. 26.
Residents wishing to vote by mail must ensure their application is received by Oct. 23.
Key election dates include:
- July 20: First day to file for a place on the ballot
