Jeff Davis County Library to Host Utility Assistance Event

Residents needing help with utility bills will have an opportunity to receive assistance next week when representatives from the Community Council of South Central Texas visit the Jeff Davis County Library.

According to a library announcement, Community Council staff will be available from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 21, at the library to assist individuals seeking utility bill assistance and related services.

The organization provides programs designed to help eligible households with utility expenses. Residents interested in applying are encouraged to review eligibility requirements, application materials and required documentation before attending.

Library officials noted that the Jeff Davis County Library is serving only as the host site for the event and directed questions about assistance programs or eligibility to the Community Council of South Central Texas.

Additional information, including application requirements, is available through the Community Council of South Central Texas. The announcement was provided in both English and Spanish to help reach a broader audience within the community.
