Municipal firefighters and civil protection crews responded Sunday to a house fire in Ojinaga, according to local officials.
The fire was reported to 911 at about 5:20 p.m. July 12 at a home on a private street near Calle 36 and Manuel Ojinaga.
When firefighters arrived, they confirmed no one was inside the home, cut power to the property and forced entry to control and extinguish the fire. Crews also removed an LP gas tank as a precaution.
Officials said the fire caused considerable damage to two bedrooms and a bathroom. The homeowners were not at the residence when the fire occurred.
Five members of the municipal fire department responded, with support from the fire chief, civil protection personnel and a municipal public safety unit.
