Sanderson’s annual Fourth of July BBQ returns to St. James Hall after parade

The annual Fourth of July BBQ hosted at St. James Hall will return immediately following Sanderson’s Independence Day parade, offering brisket and sausage plates as part of a longstanding community tradition.

According to promotional materials shared by the Sanderson Chamber of Commerce, plates will include brisket and sausage served with potato salad, rice, beans and bread, along with tea and dessert.

The annual barbecue will be held at St. James Hall directly after the July 4 parade, with organizers encouraging residents, visitors and returning alumni to attend.

Class reunions are also welcome during the event, and organizers said tables may be reserved in advance.

The event is part of Sanderson’s annual Fourth of July celebrations and is expected to bring together residents, families and visitors for food and festivities following the holiday parade.
