Alpine ISD Educators Head to Atlanta for Professional Learning Experience

A group of Alpine ISD educators is traveling to Atlanta this week for a professional development experience at the Ron Clark Academy, a nationally recognized school known for innovative teaching strategies and school culture.

According to Alpine ISD, 15 Fightin’ Buck educators departed for Atlanta to participate in training at the academy, where they will spend several days learning new instructional approaches and school culture practices.

District officials said the educators are expected to bring back strategies to strengthen the district and later help codify Alpine ISD’s “Be A Buck” expectations.

“Over the next few days, these educators will immerse themselves in one of the nation’s most innovative school cultures, learning new strategies to bring back to Buck Nation,” the district said in a statement.

Alpine ISD credited the Prentice & Alline Brown Foundation for financially supporting the trip, calling it a “once-in-a-lifetime learning experience” for participating staff members.

District leaders said the effort is about more than professional development, describing it as an investment in educators, school culture and student success.

“This trip is about more than professional development — it’s about investing in our people, strengthening our culture, and continuing our commitment to excellence and joy for every Fightin’ Buck student,” the district said.

The Ron Clark Academy, based in Atlanta, is widely known for its educator training programs focused on student engagement, school climate and academic achievement.
