Balmorhea State Park has temporarily closed because of issues affecting the park’s water supply, park officials announced Wednesday.
In a social media post published May 28, park officials said the park would remain closed until the water-related problems and associated complications are resolved.
Officials did not provide additional details about the nature of the issue or an estimated timeline for reopening.
The park’s call center is contacting visitors with existing reservations, according to the announcement. Officials encouraged the public to monitor the park’s social media channels for updates as the situation develops.
Park officials apologized for the disruption and thanked visitors for their patience.
