One of Alpine’s popular specialty burgers is making a return this weekend as Bock Burger Takeaway reopens after a brief break and brings back its Full Moon Shrimp Burger by popular demand.
Owner Michelle Minto announced the return of the seasonal favorite in a social media post, noting the shrimp burger will be available this weekend as the moon waxes.
The specialty burger, which has developed a following among locals and visitors, features a shrimp patty served on a toasted bun with fresh toppings and house sauce.
The reopening also brings dessert specials, with Minto preparing homemade strawberry cakes topped with a compote made from organic strawberries.
“It is probably the most gorgeous day I have seen in a while,” Minto wrote, adding that it felt good to be back home and reopen for customers.
Located at 601 E. Avenue E, Bock Burger Takeaway is known for emphasizing local, organic ingredients sourced from Texas farms and suppliers, with a menu that often rotates around limited-time offerings and seasonal specialties.
The Full Moon Shrimp Burger will be offered this weekend while supplies last.
