Alpine ISD is seeking applicants for a new grant-funded leadership position aimed at strengthening early childhood education across the district.
The district announced it is hiring a Director of Early Learning Excellence, a position that will support classrooms serving children from six weeks old at the Alpine Child Development Center through kindergarten at Alpine Elementary School.
According to the district, the role is designed to provide instructional coaching, support classroom environments, lead professional learning for educators and help ensure young students receive developmentally appropriate, language-rich instruction.
The position will also support Alpine ISD’s work through the Moody Foundation M-Pact Grant and the Alpine Promise Initiative, including its partnership with the School Empowerment Network as district leaders work to build what officials described as a model for high-quality rural early childhood education.
Applicants are asked to submit a letter of interest, résumé, certification information and professional references through the district’s hiring portal.
District officials said compensation will be based on experience and Alpine ISD compensation guidelines. The position will be based at the Alpine Child Development Center and Alpine Elementary School.
