The Terlingua American Legion Post 653 will host a community breakfast fundraiser Saturday morning, offering a full breakfast plate to benefit the preservation of the local gathering space known as “The Last Outpost.”
The event, dubbed “Breakfast by Betty,” is scheduled for Saturday, May 23, from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Terlingua American Legion Post 653, located at 51470 Texas Highway 118.
According to organizers, attendees can purchase a breakfast plate for $8, which includes two eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes and coffee.
Post officials said proceeds from the breakfast will go toward preserving the community space and helping ensure the continued affordability of services offered at the legion hall. Organizers also said donations and tips for the cook will be accepted.
The fundraiser aims to bring together residents and visitors for a morning meal while supporting one of Terlingua’s longstanding community gathering places.
