Pecos County to Host Memorial Day Ceremony at Zero Stone Park in Fort Stockton

Pecos County officials are inviting residents to gather for a Memorial Day ceremony honoring U.S. service members who died while serving in the military.

The event is scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday, May 25, at Zero Stone Park in Fort Stockton, according to an announcement from the Pecos County Veterans Service Office.

Organizers say the ceremony will serve as a day of reflection, gratitude and remembrance for the men and women who gave their lives in service to the country.

The event is open to the public, including veterans, military families, neighbors and community members. Officials encouraged residents to attend as a show of support and remembrance for fallen service members and the sacrifices made by military families.

The ceremony is being organized by the Pecos County Veterans Service Office, led by Veterans Service Officer Michael Pules.

“Freedom is never free,” the event announcement states. “Our gratitude is forever.”
