Marfa Independent School District will celebrate a milestone for local students Friday evening as the district honors members of the Class of 2030 during its annual eighth-grade promotion ceremony.
The ceremony is scheduled for 6 p.m. Friday, May 22, at the J.E. Gregg Auditorium at Marfa Junior-Senior High School, according to the district.
The event recognizes eighth-grade students as they complete middle school and prepare to begin their high school years. Family members, friends and community supporters are invited to attend and celebrate the students’ accomplishments.
District officials said the ceremony marks an important milestone in the lives of Marfa ISD students as they transition to the next stage of their education.
“We are proud of you,” the district wrote in promotional materials celebrating the Class of 2030.
