Alpine Independent School District is preparing to celebrate the Class of 2026 with its annual Project Graduation event, an overnight lock-in designed to provide seniors with a safe, alcohol-, drug- and tobacco-free environment following graduation festivities.
According to information shared by Alpine ISD, Project Graduation 2026 will take place from 10 p.m. Friday, May 22, to 3 a.m. Saturday. The district emphasized that the event is a strict lock-in, with doors closing at 11 p.m. and no late admissions permitted. Students who leave the event will not be allowed to return.
Organizers are encouraging seniors to dress comfortably and bring a phone charger and blanket for the evening.
The event will feature food, drinks, games, entertainment and door prizes throughout the night for graduating seniors.
Students may also bring one guest of high school age for a $20 donation. Alpine ISD noted that children will not be permitted at the event.
Project Graduation programs are held by schools across Texas and the nation to provide graduating seniors with a supervised celebration aimed at promoting safety during graduation season.
Alpine ISD encouraged members of the Class of 2026 to participate and help make the night both memorable and safe.
