Milky Way Treats Adds Pie Contest to Annual Terlingua Ice Cream Social

Milky Way Treats is adding a new twist to its annual Terlingua Ice Cream Social this year with the debut of a pie competition.

The event, scheduled for June 1 in Terlingua’s ghost town, marks the third year of the community gathering hosted by the popular ice cream trailer located in front of the Boathouse Bar.

Dubbed the “Pie Off,” the new competition will invite participants to submit homemade pies for judging, with prizes planned for categories including Best Pie and Best Crust. Organizers are encouraging aspiring bakers from across West Texas to bring their favorite recipes and compete.

Milky Way Treats announced that additional details about the event will be released soon.

The annual Terlingua Ice Cream Social has become a community tradition, bringing together locals and visitors over frozen treats and festivities in the heart of Terlingua.
