Hudspeth County to host Fourth of July celebration in Sierra Blanca for America’s 250th anniversary

Hudspeth County is inviting residents and visitors to celebrate Independence Day with a communitywide Fourth of July event in Sierra Blanca as part of the nation’s 250th anniversary observance.

The celebration is scheduled for Saturday, July 4, 2026, at Peter Colmenero Park in Sierra Blanca and will feature a parade, live music, games, local artists, food and merchandise vendors, and family-friendly activities throughout the day.

According to event organizers, the parade will begin at 9:30 a.m. Festivities will also include jumping balloons, waterslides and a fireworks display at dusk.

The event is being promoted as free entertainment for the whole family and is sponsored by LaSalle Corrections and Hudspeth County.

The celebration comes as communities across the United States prepare commemorations tied to the country’s semiquincentennial, marking 250 years since the signing of the Declaration of Independence in 1776.
