Marfa Police Seek Public’s Help Identifying Robbery Suspect

The Marfa Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a man accused of a robbery Saturday afternoon at a local business on North Highland Street.

According to a police bulletin issued by Chief Gilberto Carrillo, the incident occurred at approximately 2:50 p.m. May 17, when a theft was reported inside a business. Police said the business owner attempted to stop the suspect during the theft, resulting in physical harm to the owner and elevating the incident to a robbery investigation.

Authorities described the suspect as a male who was seen leaving the area in a white Honda CR-V with unknown California license plates. Police included a surveillance image of the suspect and a stock image representing the type of vehicle involved, noting it is not an actual photo of the vehicle.

The Marfa Police Department is asking anyone who recognizes the suspect or sees a vehicle matching the description to contact the department at 432-729-1841 or call 911.

The investigation remains ongoing.
