Alpine ISD eighth-grade students recently visited Big Bend National Park, the district shared on social media.
Photos posted by the district show students exploring the park and gathering at a scenic overlook surrounded by the rugged mountains of Far West Texas.
“8th graders visited Big Bend yesterday,” Alpine ISD wrote in a Facebook post announcing the trip.
The visit offered students an opportunity to experience one of the region’s most iconic natural landmarks firsthand while learning more about the environment and geography of the Big Bend region.
