CDRI to host guided botanical garden hikes during Agave Festival

The Chihuahuan Desert Research Institute will host two guided hikes through its botanical gardens during Agave Festival Marfa in early June.

The hikes are scheduled for Friday, June 5, and Saturday, June 6, with both beginning at 9:15 a.m. at the Powell Visitor Center.

Friday’s hike will be led by Faith Hille-Dishron, CDRI’s head gardener. Saturday’s tour will be led by CDRI Board President Jim Martinez.

According to CDRI, each guided hike is limited to 50 guests. Participants can register by emailing programs@cdri.org or calling 432-364-2499.

Agave Festival Marfa activities are scheduled to begin June 4.
