Community members are invited to gather Tuesday morning at the Brewster County Courthouse for a Mental Health Awareness Month event focused on wellness, mindfulness and community connection.
The event, hosted by the Family Crisis Center of the Big Bend and Big Bend Regional Hospital District, is scheduled for May 12 from 9 to 10 a.m. at the Brewster County Courthouse.
Organizers say the gathering will include a community walk, guided breathing exercises and a short meditation session aimed at promoting mental wellness and reducing stress.
Participants are encouraged to bring a towel or mat. Water and snacks will be provided.
The event is part of broader Mental Health Awareness Month efforts taking place throughout May to encourage conversations around mental health and remind residents that support and community resources are available.
