Ojinaga launches subsidized adobe brick program for home improvements

Ojinaga municipal officials announced a new housing improvement program offering subsidized adobe bricks to local families seeking to expand or improve their homes.

According to promotional materials shared by the municipal government, eligible families may receive up to 1,500 adobe bricks — described as enough for the equivalent of an additional room — at a cost of 3 pesos per brick.

The program is being administered through Ojinaga’s Department of Social Development as part of the municipal housing improvement initiative, “Lo Mejor X Tu Vivienda,” or “The Best for Your Home.”

Residents interested in applying were instructed to visit the social development office at Ojinaga City Hall. Applicants are required to provide copies of a voter identification card, CURP identification number and proof of address dated within the last three months.

Officials said space in the program is limited.
