A weeklong nature program focused on pollinators will take place in June for local children ages 6 to 10, organizers announced.
The “Pollinator Protectors” program is scheduled for June 8–12, 2026, from 9 a.m. to noon each day. Activities will be held outdoors, giving participants hands-on opportunities to learn about pollinators and their role in the environment.
Children will meet at the Old School House, located at 205 Sul Ross Ave., where they will take part in nature-based lessons and activities designed to encourage curiosity and appreciation for insects such as bees and butterflies.
Registration is set to begin May 4 at the Alpine Public Library. Promotional materials list the year as 2016, which appears to be a typographical error given the program’s 2026 dates.
The program is sponsored by the Alpine Public Library and Alpine Community Projects.
