The Jeff Davis County Sheriff’s Office recently hosted a school safety training in Valentine in partnership with the Texas Department of Public Safety, officials said.
The training addressed a range of topics aimed at improving preparedness and coordination to protect students, staff and school campuses. Authorities said the session emphasized information sharing and strengthening interagency collaboration.
Officials also met with Valentine Independent School District staff to discuss ongoing school safety efforts and reinforce working relationships.
The sheriff’s office said it appreciated the opportunity to work with the district and thanked school staff for their hospitality following the training.
