Students from several schools took part in Ojinaga’s traditional “Official for a Day” program at the Municipal Palace, according to El Sol de Ojinaga.
Mayor Lucy Marrufo welcomed the students as they temporarily filled roles in city departments, coordinations and leadership offices.
The program gave children a close look at the responsibilities of public service and allowed them to experience how municipal government works.
City officials thanked students, parents and teachers for participating in the activity, which is intended to promote civic learning and public service.
