Authorities reported violent incidents in communities between Aldama and Ojinaga earlier this week that left multiple homes burned, a business destroyed and roads temporarily blocked, though no arrests had been made as of the latest update.
According to a report from the Fiscalía de la Zona Centro cited by El Sol de Ojinaga, the violence began early Wednesday, April 22, amid clashes between organized crime groups. Officials said eight homes were burned across two communities, including five in El Pueblito and three in Falomir.
Authorities also noted preliminary reports that two people may have been forcibly taken in Falomir, though those cases had not been formally reported.
In response, a coordinated security operation was launched involving the Agencia Estatal de Investigaciones, the Secretariat of National Defense, the State Public Security Secretariat, the Fiscalía General de la República and the National Guard.
Officials said crews worked to remove tire-puncturing devices placed along the Aldama–Chorreras highway. A passenger transport truck was reportedly stolen and used to block access into Aldama, though the roadway was later reopened.
One convenience store, identified as an OXXO location in Aldama, was set on fire during the incidents.
As of the latest report, authorities said two vehicles had been secured, but no suspects had been taken into custody.
