A $200,000 project is planned at Indian Lodge at Davis Mountains State Park, according to a Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation filing.
The project, listed as Centennial Day Use Picnic Sites, calls for construction of three day-use picnic sites, shade shelters, trails, stone retaining walls and accessible parking pavement at the Indian Lodge facility.
The work is planned for Park Road 3 off Texas Highway 118 North in Fort Davis. The project covers about 5,000 square feet.
Construction is scheduled to begin Sept. 1, 2026, and be completed Sept. 1, 2027. The filing lists the project as an addition to an existing building and notes that it involves public funds, public land or a federally funded roadway project.
