The Ojinaga Volunteer Fire Department is organizing a community fundraiser featuring a sale of chamorros adobados to support emergency response and rescue operations.
The event is scheduled for May 2 at Parque Manuel Ojinaga, beginning at 9 a.m., according to promotional materials. Plates will be sold for 200 pesos and include the marinated pork dish served with salsa brava and tortillas.
Organizers said proceeds will help fund equipment for rescues, maintain 24/7 service capabilities and support ongoing emergency operations. Community members are encouraged to reserve their orders in advance through participating firefighters, as quantities are limited.
The department emphasized that community support plays a critical role in sustaining lifesaving services in the region.
