Reports circulating Tuesday indicate that all locations of Oxxo in Ojinaga have closed their doors amid security concerns.
The closures, described in local social media posts as unprecedented, were observed across the city, with employees reportedly shutting down stores during business hours. The information remains unofficial, and the company has not issued a public statement.
The reported shutdowns come as separate accounts earlier in the day indicated an Oxxo store was set on fire in the nearby municipality of Aldama. Details about that incident have not been independently confirmed.
Despite the regional concerns, conditions within Ojinaga were described as calm as of Tuesday.
