Big Bend Regional Hospital District thanks community for strong turnout at Presidio walkathon

The Big Bend Regional Hospital District is thanking volunteers and community members after more than 225 people participated in its third annual walkathon in Presidio.

In a social media post, the district expressed appreciation for those who attended and supported the event, highlighting the role of volunteers and community involvement in making it possible.

“Events like this are made possible with the help of our volunteers and community support,” the district said.

The walkathon, branded as the “Mejor Salud Annual Walkathon,” featured participants gathering under decorated booths and signage promoting Big Bend Health, with photos showing community members, organizers and local officials taking part.

Organizers said the continued turnout signals growing engagement and support for health-focused community events in the region.

“With over 225 participants, our event continues to be successful and helps us look forward to the next year,” the district said.
