Fort Stockton to host Cinco de Mayo celebration May 2 at Pecos County Coliseum

The Fort Stockton Convention and Visitors Bureau will host a Cinco de Mayo celebration on Saturday, May 2, at the Pecos County Coliseum, featuring live music, cultural performances and family-friendly activities.

The event, which offers free admission, will include performances by Los Vendavales de Adán Meléndez and Generación X, along with a ballet folklórico presentation by Viva Mexico de Esteban Puertas.

Festivities are scheduled throughout the day, beginning with vendors and a car show at noon. A folklórico performance is set for 4 p.m., followed by a dance at 8 p.m.

Organizers said the celebration aims to highlight regional culture and bring the community together through music, dance and local vendors.
