Subsidized cement distribution program begins in Manuel Benavides

Local officials on Tuesday launched the first delivery of subsidized cement as part of a municipal program aimed at supporting residents with construction and home improvement needs.

The distribution, held April 14, was organized by the municipality’s Rural Development Department, led by Jazmín Aidé Tavares, under the administration of Mayor Leonel Galindo Carrasco.

According to officials, the program is designed to provide affordable building materials to residents, particularly in rural areas, to assist with housing and infrastructure improvements.

Municipal leaders also acknowledged the support of the Public Works Department and the Public Security Directorate, which assisted in coordinating and carrying out the delivery.

Officials said the initiative is part of ongoing efforts to promote equitable access to resources and improve quality of life for residents in Manuel Benavides.
