Marathon Golf Tournament set for May 2 at Alpine Country Club

A golf tournament benefiting local organizations in Marathon is scheduled for May 2 at the Alpine Country Club, organizers announced.

The Marathon Golf Tournament will begin at 10 a.m. and feature a three-man scramble format. Entry is $75 per player.

Proceeds from the event will support the Marathon Foundation and the Marathon Parent-Teacher Organization, according to organizers.

Food will be served at the turn during the tournament.

Participants can sign up by calling the club at (432) 837-2752.

The event is expected to draw players from across the region for a day of competition and community support.
