Alpine High School One-Act Play Advances to Area Contest After 8-Year Gap

The Alpine High School One-Act Play team is heading back to the UIL Area Contest stage for the first time in eight years, marking a major milestone for the school’s theater program.

According to Alpine Independent School District, the team will travel to Seminole on Wednesday to compete at the next level of University Interscholastic League competition.

School officials called the advancement a significant achievement for both the students and the local theater community, noting the dedication and effort required to reach the area contest.

A community send-off is scheduled for 9 a.m. Wednesday at Alpine High School, where supporters are invited to gather and cheer on the students before they depart.

District officials encouraged the community to show support and celebrate the accomplishment as the team represents Alpine on a larger stage.

“Break a leg,” the district said in its announcement, wishing the students success in competition.
