Residents and volunteers are invited to take part in a community clean-up effort scheduled for Saturday, April 18, from 8 to 11 a.m.
Organizers said participants will meet at the Welcome to Sanderson sign at the intersection of U.S. Highway 90 and U.S. Highway 285 before heading west to continue cleanup efforts as part of a second round of work.
Volunteers are encouraged to bring yard tools such as shovels, rakes, chainsaws and trimmers, along with trash bags or old feed sacks and water. County officials will provide burn and dump trailers for debris collection.
Participants are advised to wear gloves, jeans or thick pants, closed-toe shoes and sunscreen.
