A public meeting on border wall construction in the Big Bend Sector is scheduled for Tuesday, April 7, at 6 p.m. at the Candelaria Schoolhouse.
Organizers say the meeting will provide updates on the current status of border wall activity in the region and offer an opportunity for community members and landowners to learn more and ask questions.
Scheduled speakers include David Keller of No Big Bend Wall, Presidio County Commissioner Deirdre Hisler and Sam Karas of the Big Bend Sentinel.
The event is open to the public, with organizers encouraging attendance as developments related to border wall construction continue to move quickly in the area.
