A one-vehicle crash along U.S. 67 south of Marfa left a Midland woman injured Thursday morning, according to the Presidio County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responded to the scene around 9 a.m. after a vehicle driven by Josephine Lozano, 66, of Midland, left the roadway while navigating a curve. Authorities said Lozano lost control while attempting to avoid wildlife, causing the vehicle to veer into the field and roll over.
Lozano and a passenger sustained minor injuries. Airbags deployed during the crash.
Presidio EMS evaluated both occupants at the scene and transported them to a hospital in Alpine for further treatment. The Texas Department of Public Safety also responded to assist.
