A 5K walk and run aimed at raising awareness of sexual assault and supporting survivors is scheduled for April 25 at Sul Ross State University.
The event, titled “Bring Awareness & Support,” will begin at 9 a.m., with check-in starting at 8 a.m. at the Briscoe Administration Building. Participants are encouraged to arrive as early as 7:30 a.m. to customize event T-shirts in recognition of Sexual Assault Awareness Month.
The event is organized by the Sul Ross State University Counseling and Accessibility Office in partnership with the Family Crisis Center of Big Bend. Organizers say the goal is to increase awareness, provide support to survivors and engage the campus and surrounding community in meaningful action.
Registration is available through a QR code on event materials, with participants required to complete a form and submit a sign-up fee prior to the event.
