Alpine Lady Bucks Set for Playoff Matchup Against Stanton in Monahans

The Alpine High School Lady Bucks basketball team is preparing for postseason competition, with a playoff game scheduled Monday night against Stanton at Monahans High School.

The matchup is set for Feb. 16 at 7 p.m., with fans from across the region expected to travel to Monahans to support the team as they begin their playoff run. Admission prices are listed at $5 for adults and $3 for students, with district passes and THSCA cards also accepted at the gate.

Community members will have an opportunity to show their support before the team departs. A send-off gathering is planned for 3 p.m. Monday behind the Alpine High School gym, where supporters are encouraged to line up and cheer as the players head out of town.

The postseason appearance continues Alpine’s strong girls basketball tradition and sets up a familiar contest against Stanton, a team the Lady Bucks have faced previously. Coaches and supporters are encouraging fans to travel to Monahans to create a strong showing for Alpine during the win-or-advance matchup.

The game marks the start of what the team hopes will be a deep playoff run, with community enthusiasm building as the Lady Bucks represent Alpine on the postseason stage.
