Beebe Plans ‘Hamburger Events’ Campaign Stops in Valentine, Presidio and Marfa

David W. Beebe, a candidate for Presidio County judge, is hosting a series of community events this month that combine food, live music and informal question-and-answer sessions with voters.

Branded as “Hamburger Events,” the campaign stops are scheduled for Feb. 14 in Valentine, Texas, Feb. 16 in Presidio, Texas, and March 12 in Marfa, Texas, according to campaign materials and a social media post by Beebe.

In the post, Beebe said he will serve burgers and host meet-and-greet sessions while featuring live music by Primo Carrasco and Julio “Raton” Torres. Events in Valentine are scheduled from 2 to 6 p.m. at 404 Bell Ave., with music from 2 to 4 p.m. A Presidio event is planned from 5 to 7 p.m. at El Mesquite on Ralf England Street.

“We’ll be cooking, visiting and answering questions,” Beebe wrote, describing the gatherings as family-friendly.

Campaign posters promote the events as opportunities for residents to engage directly with the candidate in an informal setting. The materials list the stops as “Q&A events” and encourage voters to read additional information below the event announcements.

Beebe is seeking the office of Presidio County judge, the county’s chief executive position, which oversees commissioners court meetings and county operations.
