A $2.5 million renovation project at the Jeff Davis Community Center has been completed, marking a major investment in public facilities for the community, according to state records.
The project, located at 601 East Cemetery Road in Fort Davis, began Sept. 1, 2024, and was completed May 1, 2025. It involved additions and renovations to an existing building, transforming the space into a modern community center.
State filings with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation list the project’s scope as a full renovation of approximately 10,000 square feet. The work was funded with public money and carried out on public land.
Records show the facility has passed final inspections and is now listed as “inspection complete,” indicating the project has met state requirements and is ready for use.
