Hurts Donut Brings “Emergency Donut Vehicle” to Van Horn for One-Day Visit

Residents of Van Horn will have a chance to enjoy specialty donuts and baked goods this week as Hurts Donut brings its “Emergency Donut Vehicle” to town for a one-day event.

The mobile donut truck is scheduled to arrive Friday, Feb. 6, at the corner of Broadway and Highway 54 in Van Horn, with service beginning at 11 a.m. and continuing until items sell out.

According to the company’s announcement, the truck will be stocked with a wide selection of oversized donuts and desserts, including long johns, cinnamon rolls, maple bacon bars, fritters, cookies, and chocolate-covered strawberry donuts. Popular items are expected to be available in limited quantities.

Hurts Donut representatives said the number of products brought to Van Horn is based on community engagement with the announcement post, encouraging residents to share the information in advance.

The visit is being organized in partnership with a local coffee shop, providing an opportunity for customers to pair donuts with locally brewed drinks.

The company also noted that dairy-free and gluten-free options are available by pre-order only and must be arranged in advance.

With the truck expected to draw visitors from across the area, organizers recommend arriving early, as many specialty items are likely to sell out quickly.

The one-day stop offers Van Horn residents a chance to enjoy the popular traveling donut truck without leaving town and highlights growing interest in mobile food and specialty dessert events in rural West Texas communities.
