Representatives from the Monahans Police Department recently hosted Tony Gonzales for a ride-along and meeting focused on public safety and departmental priorities.
According to the department, Chief Quintana was joined by Gonzales during an afternoon patrol, giving the congressman an opportunity to observe daily law enforcement operations firsthand. The ride-along was followed by a meeting with Captain Laws and Lieutenant Ramon to discuss the department’s goals, staffing needs, and community safety initiatives.
Department officials said the visit provided an opportunity to share local perspectives on policing challenges in West Texas, including resource needs, training, and coordination with state and federal partners.
In a statement shared on social media, the department thanked Gonzales for taking time to visit and for his continued support of local law enforcement. Officials noted that such visits help strengthen communication between local agencies and federal representatives.
