The Alpine High School tennis team opened its 2026 season this week by competing in the Lower Valley Invitational, with matches played across Clint, San Elizario, and Fabens.
Student-athletes from Alpine are representing the Bucks and Lady Bucks as they begin their competitive year with early-season tournament play in the El Paso region.
Team members competing at the invitational include:

Mariana Palazuelos,
John Paul Prieto,
Arturo Santos,
Vianney Santos,
and Megan Struthers.
School officials and supporters wished the team success as they work to build momentum and confidence at the start of the season.
Local fans will have an opportunity to watch the team compete at home later this spring. Varsity and junior varsity matches are scheduled for Tuesday, April 22, beginning at 8 a.m. at the Alpine High School Tennis Courts and the Sul Ross State University Tennis Courts.
Additional junior varsity competition, including girls doubles and mixed doubles, is scheduled for Wednesday, April 23, at 8 a.m. at the Sul Ross Tennis Courts.
The Alpine High School tennis program continues to provide student-athletes with opportunities to compete at a high level while representing their school and community.
