Authorities Seek Public’s Help in Locating Missing Teen From Ojinaga Area

Authorities in northern Mexico are asking for the public’s assistance in locating Francisco Díaz Herrera, an 18-year-old who has been reported missing in the state of Chihuahua.

According to information released by the Fiscalía General del Estado de Chihuahua, Díaz Herrera was last seen on January 6, 2026, in the municipality of Coyame del Sotol, Chihuahua. Since that time, his whereabouts remain unknown.

Díaz Herrera was born on July 21, 2007, in Ojinaga, Chihuahua, and is a Mexican national. He is described as approximately 175 centimeters (5 feet 9 inches) tall, weighing about 70 kilograms (154 pounds), with a slim build, light brown complexion, short dark hair, and light brown eyes. He has an oval-shaped face, a straight nose, and a symmetrical mouth.

Authorities noted a distinguishing characteristic: Díaz Herrera was born with brachial plexus damage affecting his left arm, which causes difficulty moving it.

At the time he was last seen, he was reportedly wearing blue jeans, a royal blue hooded sweatshirt, a black Nike shirt, a black-and-white baseball cap, black Nike tennis shoes, and a light blue belt.

The Chihuahua State Prosecutor’s Office urges anyone with information that could help locate Francisco Díaz Herrera to contact local emergency services or submit an anonymous tip through official channels. Officials emphasize that even small details could be critical in helping reunite him with his family.
