The Presidio Blue Devils boys basketball team finished third place at the Byron Johnston Holiday Classic Tournament, posting a 3–1 record against a competitive field.
Presidio opened the tournament with a 73–53 win over Midland High, followed by a 40–57 loss to Weatherford. The Blue Devils rebounded with a 69–55 victory over El Paso Hanks and closed the tournament with a tight 68–64 win against Quinlan Ford.
The strong finish earned Presidio a third-place medal in the tournament, which featured teams from across Texas.
Senior standout Mucio Rey was named to the All-Tournament Team, recognizing his performance throughout the event.
Presidio ISD thanked players, coaches and supporters for their backing during the tournament, calling the games hard-fought and the experience a test of resilience and growth for the team.
The Blue Devils now turn their focus to district play as the season continues.
