“Miles of Stars” Program Highlights Dark Skies Over West Texas

Stargazing takes center stage Thursday, Jan. 8, from 7 to 8 p.m., during the Miles of Stars program at Davis Mountains State Park.

The evening event meets at the CCC Rock Lookout at the far end of Skyline Drive, where park staff will discuss light pollution, identify visible constellations, and offer telescope viewing when conditions allow.

Visitors are encouraged to bring a chair and a red-lamp flashlight, and to allow approximately 10 minutes to drive up Skyline Drive.
