Student-athletes from Alpine High School’s Lady Bucks were recognized this week for pitching in to help improve their campus, demonstrating teamwork, leadership, and school pride beyond the playing field.
According to Alpine Independent School District, the Lady Bucks athletes volunteered their time to assist with campus cleanup efforts, from picking up trash to helping beautify school grounds. District officials praised the students for taking initiative and setting a positive example for the school community.
Photos shared by Alpine ISD show dozens of students working together around the Alpine High School campus, many wearing school colors as they tackled the cleanup as a group.
School leaders said the effort reflects the values Alpine ISD aims to instill in its students — responsibility, pride in their school, and a willingness to serve others.
“Way to represent Alpine High School with Buck pride,” the district said in a post recognizing the students’ efforts.
The cleanup comes as part of ongoing efforts to maintain school facilities and encourage student involvement in caring for shared spaces, while reinforcing the importance of teamwork both in athletics and everyday life.
